Understand and edit your Experience Base

Goal: create a private Experience Base from which you can prepare tailored LiveCVs.

Before you start: sign in and gather your contact details and career history.

The Experience Base is your private career record, the complete source you build shorter LiveCV versions from. Saving it does not make every field public.

Open the editor

1. Sign in and open Dashboard.
2. In the Experience Base card, choose Edit Experience Base.
3. Use the section navigation to move between personal details, summaries, roles, experience, education, skills, languages, courses, interests and contact details.

For everyday edits, start with the Form. Switch to YAML when you already work with structured resume data or want to inspect the exact document that will be saved.

Understand the editor state

• The live preview follows the selected language and the current draft.
• The completion percentage is a completeness hint, not a hiring score or a publication requirement.
• A local draft can be restored after a reload, but it exists only in this browser until you click Save Experience Base.
• Each saved revision belongs to one language version. A short change note will make it easier to recognize in History.

Save a change

1. Edit a field or add/remove an entry.
2. Check the live preview while the correct language tab is active.
3. Add a note such as Updated React experience.
4. Click Save Experience Base and wait for the success message.

Your Experience Base stays private. When you are ready to share only selected information, create a LiveCV version from the Dashboard.

Reset or import content

The editor can import a supported resume file and review the parsed sections before applying them. Import is additive and does not publish a LiveCV. For a full account backup and restore flow, see Import and export your LiveCV data.

Check the result

• You see a save confirmation and the preview contains the current details.
• The selected language is correct. Your Experience Base is still private.
