Manage your account and privacy
The account menu is the place to update your name, check your account status, and end the current session. It also shows your role, which is useful when you are working in an account with staff access.
Update profile details
- Open the account menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Profile.
- Change your first or last name and choose Save.
Your profile name and the name printed on your LiveCV are separate values. If the name on the LiveCV should change too, update it in the Experience Base.
Protect your account
Verify your email address before using the protected workspaces. On a shared
computer, finish by choosing Log out. If you lose access, start the
password recovery flow from /login.
Keep exported YAML files private: they can contain your complete work history and contact details. A strong, unique password is still the best protection; never send someone your session link or access token.
Understand what is public
Your Experience Base and private LiveCV versions stay in your account. A public link
contains only the entries selected for its publication and the language
versions you chose. noindex asks search engines not to list the page; it does
not turn the link into a password-protected page.
Changing a draft does not change a public page until you publish again.
Delete the account
Account deletion is permanent. Open Profile, choose Delete account and all data, type the exact email address, and submit the final confirmation. The application cannot recover the account or its LiveCV data afterwards.
Export any data you need before deleting the account. Do not use deletion as a way to remove one LiveCV version; delete or unpublish that version instead.
For the publication-specific privacy model, see Publish and share a LiveCV.
