Add a language version to your LiveCV
Each language in your Experience Base has its own document. You choose which
languages to publish with LiveCV. Adding pl does not translate
the English document, and changing the application's interface language does
not rewrite the content of either LiveCV.
Add the locale
- Open Dashboard and select Edit Experience Base.
- In the editor toolbar, open Languages.
- Enter the code (for example,
pl), the display name, and the short badge. Select Create version. - Open the new language tab and write the translated content.
- Save the Experience Base while that tab is active.
Keep the facts consistent between locales, but adapt headings, summary wording, and role-specific phrasing for the people who will read each version.
Include it in a LiveCV version
- Return to Dashboard and open the LiveCV version settings menu.
- Select Edit.
- For a version that is not published yet, publish it with Publish and check the languages in the publication dialog.
- For a published version, check the languages under the language versions in the editor and choose the default one.
- Click Update LiveCV.
The public language switcher shows only locales included in the latest publication. A language version can exist in the Experience Base and still remain private when it is not selected here.
Complete and preview every locale before publishing. It is easy to select a new language before its content is ready, which leaves visitors with an empty version.
The application interface and the LiveCV content have independent language choices; changing one does not rewrite the other.
Next, prepare a LiveCV version, or return to publishing if your selection is already saved.
